• Apply for an ABN

Applying for an Australian business number (ABN) is free with the Australian Business Register (ABR). You can apply online below or lodge a form by mail.

There are requirements that you have to meet before you can get an ABN. Your application will be refused if you are not entitled.

The information you provide when you apply for an ABN must be true and correct.

Once you are registered your details will be added to the ABR. It is your responsibility to keep them up-to-date.

When you apply online the Registrar of the ABR will determine if you are entitled to get an ABN straight away.

You will need the following information to complete your application. Your application will processed faster if we can identify you.
