The quickest way to get your ABN online is by providing your tax file number (TFN) and the TFN for all associates.

If you or your associates are Australian residents over 18 years of age and you do not provide all relevant TFNs, you may not get your ABN immediately.

If you are an Australian resident who is under 18 years of age, we suggest you get a TFN before applying for an ABN. If you choose not to do this, you will need to provide proof of identity documents.

    Further information

If you are a non-resident of Australia, without a TFN, you will need to provide different proof of identity documents.
