ABR bulk data file information
Unique identifer for linking the ABR bulk data files (primary key)
A string of alphanumeric characters generated by the Government Agency, used to uniquely identify the Business Document contained in the exchanged message. It should be a business identifier that would be understood by the Government Agency involved in the message exchange, not a message envelope level GUID.
A unique 11-digit identifier issued to entities registered in the ABR
A unique public identifier issued to all entities registered in the Australian Business Register (ABR), to be used in their dealings with government. Companies registered under the Corporations Law and business entities carrying on an enterprise in Australia are entitled to an ABN.

The middle name given to a person that complements that person's identifying name within the family group or the name by which the person is uniquely socially identified.
Entity Name Family Name
The last name or surname given to a person. The name by which a family group is identified.

The date the registration comes into effect

Implements a unique identification number that is assigned by Australia Post for that address. This number is printed onto correspondence as a barcode and results in a discount from Australia Post.

Business Industry Code
ANZSIC codes are four-digit numbers. The Australian Taxation OfficeExternal Link (ATO) uses a five-digit code referred to as Business Industry Code
This is a code that identifies the classification of the industry in which the organisation operated during the relevant period. The Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification 2006 (ANZSIC) coding system has a 4 level hierarchical structure, where subdivision, group, class and subclass levels are denoted by numeric codes.
Business Industry Description
This is the description of the 2006 Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) code.
The ASIC number is represented as a single field i.e. ACN or ARBN or ARSN
ACN: An Australian Company Number (ACN) is a unique nine-digit number issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) as an identifier to every Australian company registered under the Corporations Act 2001
ARBN: The Australian Registered Body Number (ARBN) is a nine digit number allocated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) when a foreign company or registrable Australian body is registered under the Corporations Act 2001.
ARSN: The Australian Registered Scheme Number (ARSN) is a nine digit number allocated by Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to managed investment schemes registered in Australia.
ABR data value for this field is either Y or N
This indicates whether detailed information relating to an entity has been suppressed.

1 Date fields are supplied in character format (YYYYMMDD). You may need to change the date format to one that suits your applications.
2 The ABR ceased collecting and updating trading names from 28 May 2012. Trading names collected before that date will be displayed in the ABN Lookup and the ABR until 31 October 2018.
